Today would have been my dad's 69th birthday. Happy Birthday, Dad.
I came home work early only to find that they are planning on tearing out the drywall in the garage to take care of the water damage. . .tomorrow! If that was the case I would not have come home early today! They said it's too cold to dry it out. The cleanup crew has a really cool infrared camera that can detect changes in temperature, it's quite interesting.
It's -3 below zero now, and they are saying it could get down to -18 below zero tonight. I wore my ugly-yet-warm jacket to work, I suppose I better dig out the hat. My office is in a former potato field in Brooklyn Park, the flat land and no trees means when that wind whips up it cuts right through you.
It's so cold the snow is loud; it sounds like styrofoam or someone wearing leather pants moving around on a leather couch.
I promise these will not all be about the weather, but that seems to be the most exciting thing happening now.
OMG Susan - you are always so colorful in your descriptions. How wonderful to hear from you! I for one will use this blog, and am looking forward to some hilarious conversations!
