Spinner magazine published the Top 10 Worst Christmas Songs. You can see them at http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=532449.
I don't know if I have 10 but here are the ones that don't make the cut for me, in no particular order.
Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney.
Must Have Been Ol' Santa Claus by Harry Connick Jr.
Mary Did You Know by anyone. The answer is YES! SHE KNEW! Gabriel told her! Now QUIT ASKING!
Little St. Nick by The Beach Boys. "Christmas comes this time each year." Really, opposed to that one year when Christmas came in August? Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Here are the popular ones that I like, traditional ones are not listed because I love ALL of them.
The Christmas Canon by TransSiberian Orchestra
All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey, and also the one of the same title by Vince Vance and the Valiants
Happy Xmas (War is Over) by John Lennon. Although I could do without Yoko caterwauling in the background like a cat in heat.
Do They Know It's Christmas by Band Aid. Everyone tends to hate this song but I love it! I totally crank this in the car, I don't care if people look at me like I'm crazy. I especially enjoy Bono's "Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you!"
"Last Christmas" by Wham.
"Mele Kelimaka" by Chris Isaak. Reminds me of that first day in Hawaii when I sang that song all day.
"Blue Christmas" by Elvis Presley.
What are your favorite and least favorite holiday songs?
I wanna a hippopotomus for Christmas - I'm so sick and tired of hearing that song - every Christmas station in this backwater bible thumping area plays it!!!!
